Announcements

Please mark your calendars for the Fall Work Day on Saturday, October 10th! We need to prepare the grounds for winter by weeding & trimming, and if you cannot do outside work there are some inside projects to work on as well. Please come and serve the Lord by taking care of His church. ☺

The October Prayer List will be prepared this week. Please let the office know by Wednesday of any additions or changes.

The School of Healing Prayer Level I continues this Thursday, October 1st from 10:30 am – Noon. This week’s lesson is “History of Healing in the Church.”

The Vestry will meet next Sunday, October 4th after church.

Anglicans For Life will be hosting a new study called “Embrace the Journey”. This is an 8 week study beginning Wednesday, October 7th at 6:30 pm. Please sign up at the lectern in the Narthex. Brochures are available on the information table.

Women’s Bible Study coming! On Tuesday, October 6 at 9:30 am, a seven week study will begin – JONAH: Navigating a Life Interrupted” by Priscilla Shirer. Please sign up in the hallway and see Suzanne for details. Student books are $20.00 each.

Operation Christmas Child Boxes are ready to be taken and filled. Please remember to take one or more after church today! The boxes will need to be returned to the church by October 11th  to be blessed and sent out! Thank you!! **Please see the yellow insert in today’s bulletin for an amazing story!

Anglicans for Life will meet TODAY after church to begin planning our Paint Night. Anyone willing to help, please plan to attend.

Harvest Parish Picnic!! Next Sunday, September 27, following our Worship Service, we will meet at the Pavilion out back for some good food, fellowship & fun! Bring your favorite covered dish or dessert & a lawn chair and get ready for some fall fun! Live music, pumpkin patch, face painting, games, relay races, and just some relax time with your church family! Bring a friend & sign up in the Narthex!

Operation Christmas Child Boxes will be on the Altar next Sunday, September 20th. Please plan to take one home and fill it for these precious children. The boxes will need to be returned to the church by October 11th  to be blessed and sent out! Thank you!! **Please see the yellow insert in today’s bulletin for an amazing story!

Anglicans for Life is hosting a night of prayer & discussion about the Planned Parenthood videos recently in the news. This is such an important topic facing us as Christians. Please come Tuesday, September 15 at 6:30 pm with your questions, concerns, and thoughts.

MDAS Women’s Retreat Begins November 5th

 

womensretreatThe MDAS Women’s Retreat Begins on November 5th thru November 7th.   This year’s retreat is focusing on Women of God, Women of Prayer.  Our retreat leader is Bishop J. Alberto Morales.  He is the Bishop of Quincy, IL and the founder of the St. Benedict’s Abbey in Bartonville, IL.   We are very excited to have such a spirit-filled leader for our retreat!   To learn more about the bishop, please click here.

When?

On Thursday, November 5th, check-in begins at 3:00 PM.   The retreat runs until Saturday, November 7th, following Eucharist at 10:30 AM.

Where?

Dunes Manor Hotel, Ocean City, MD

Cost?

Registration fee is $25.   The Friday evening banquet is $30.50.  Room rates are per person for two night stay:  $161 one per room, $80.50 two per room, $54 three per room or $40.50 four per room.  Scholarships are available!

The School of Healing Prayer Level I begins this Thursday, September 10 from 10:30 am – Noon. There is still time to sign up TODAY on the Easel in the narthex! See Karen Graulich for any questions or details. This 13 week DVD Class, taught by Francis & Judith MacNutt, founders of Christian Healing Ministries & Training Center, will be led by Bishop Rich and our HTC Prayer Ministers. This course is a wonderful introduction to the Healing Prayer Ministry and teaches the student how to be an effective prayer minister at church, at home, or in the world!

All Sonkids parents! Please bring your child’s charm necklace to church and give it to Geri Smith. We need them to prepare for our Moving Up Ceremony on Sunday, September 13th. Following the Service that day, we will have an outing to Stratosphere and the Mitchell’s. Please RSVP Geri or Leann.

Watch an Hour Prayer is held every Thursday morning       from 9:00 – 10:00 am in the Sanctuary. Its purpose is to pray for Holy Trinity, its leadership, its ministries, and the needs of its people, expanding prayer from there to the whole wide world, that HTC would continue to be a lighthouse shining Jesus’ truth to illuminate the world’s darkness. All who feel the call of intercession are warmly welcomed!

The Women of Trinity would like to thank everyone who has given items for the Operation Christmas Child Project! What a blessing this will be for these precious children around the world. The Women of Trinity  will begin filling the boxes soon and placing extra boxes on the Altar on Sunday, September 20th for anyone who would like to fill them. They will need to be returned by Sunday, October 11 when they will be blessed and sent off. Thank you again!

Will you consider helping out once a month with the upkeep of the church grounds?  Weeding, trimming, grass mowing & weed whacking need to be done weekly.  Please sign up at the in the hallway. Thanks!
